  9. CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

  12. This recipe was given to me years ago by Canadian friends
  13. because I enjoyed the cookies so much.  I hope you will too.

  16. Ingredients
  17. 4 oz cake flour or 6 oz all=purpose flour
  18. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  19. 1/2 tsp salt
  20. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  21. 4oz granulated sugar
  22. 1.5 oz brown sugar
  23. 1 egg
  24. 3 oz vegetable shortening
  25. Half a package of chocolate chips
  26.  
  27. Method
  28.   Sift toogether the first three ingredients, then mix everything else
  29. except the chocolate chips in thoroughly.  Add the chocolate chips.
  30. Drop teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet (well spaced out -
  31. they spread) and bake for 10-12 minutes at 375F.
